Job Summary
Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley services the Yuba-Sutter and surrounding community. Our new Hospital focuses on providing outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures, as well as MRI outpatient services. We are looking to fill an open position of Chief Nursing Officer.
In collaboration with the CEO and Medical Staff leadership, the CNO is responsible for leading day-to-day clinical operations of Sutter Surgical Hospital - North Valley (SSH-NV) to facilitate organizational success in clinical and operational strategic goals and objectives in accordance with sound general management principles, regulatory and accreditation standards, and the SSH-NV mission. The CNO holds administrative responsibilities for recruitment and retention, management, cost awareness, staffing and scheduling of nursing and ancillary services, development of organization wide patient care plans, nursing and ancillary care, and operational polices, procedures and standards while directing and monitoring the provision of quality patient care and operational outcomes. The CNO serves as an ex-officio member of appropriate Committees and is integral in the administrative functioning of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree with 2+ years’ healthcare management experience, or Bachelors Degree, and an established plan to obtain a Masters Degree, with at least 2 years’ healthcare management experience.
- Current licensure in the State of California.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
- Computer knowledge and experience required.
- Experience in budgeting and personnel management, and evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specification, knowledge of professional standards and regulations.
- Joint Commission accreditation knowledge and experience.
